All my figgies are in storage...

Over the past year, the neighborhood my wife and I live in has really gone to hell. A lot of low-life types have moved in and most of the good people have moved out. So we've unfortunately decided to leave as well.

Anyway, I've been packing up all my loose and carded figures and putting them into storage. The houses we've been looking at are bigger than what we have now, and it looks like I'll have an even larger and better toy room when we move.

This whole thing has been kind of sad...I never got to finish the toy room I had here, and it's disheartening packing everything up, knowing why it is we're leaving. I also realized my collection has become pretty big at this point...probably in the 600-700 figure range [img]eek.gif[/img]

Ah well...just felt like sharing. Maybe some day I'll have some finished toy room pics to post [img]graemlins/rainbow.gif[/img]

I know the feeling - I still have stuff coming in and it just goes into the back room never to even be displayed.

I don't want to even contemplate the thought of when we are moving as the number you stated just starts to touch what I think I have upstiars [img]redface.gif[/img]

MM4 - Yeah, I've packed and moved my collection twice already...it can be tricky.

With any luck, this time I'll have a finished basement all to myself for the toys and my musical equipment [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img]

mega - yup, I know what that's like, just piling stuff in the back and not opening it. But as I've been going through everything, I'm finding stuff I forgot I had, and I'm like, "Aw! This is awesome, I forgot I had this!!!" It's kind of like buying it a second time [img]graemlins/hmmm.gif[/img] [img]biggrin.gif[/img]

How do you do with the accesories ? You have them all in a box or with each fig ?

That unless you have most of them still sealed in their original packages....

MM4 - loose accessories I usually put in small plastic containers - the kind you might use for storing food. Loose figures I put in bigger plastic tubs, and carded / boxed figures that I want to keep MOC I have stored in really large plastic tubs.

It's funny, loose figures are a pain in the ass to pack and move but are easy to display, and the carded figures are easy to store, but it's a pain finding somewhere to put all the tubs that they are in.

Yeah, it's weird how stuff like this happens...the amount of scummy people here has literally tripled in the past year...it's like they all start inviting their friends to move into the neighborhood or something [img]graemlins/rain.gif[/img]
